Where do you acquire your JetScans and JetSorts prior to refurbishing?
We are a national money counting distributor (not affiliated with Cummins-Allison Corp.), which offers us the opportunity to buy back lightly used JetScans and JetSorts from our existing customers. We also obtain them from banks and credit unions.
How is equipment refurbished and reconditioned, and what will it look like?
Each unit receives a comprehensive servicing, major tune up and calibration. In the JetScan, for example, the new $100 bill software update is installed. The Center Drive Tire, Large and Small O-Rings, Picker Roller Inserts and Transport Shaft Rollers (2-pocket) are all replaced with new. The Bearings and Feed Roller Inserts are carefully checked and replaced if necessary. Same type of work is performed on each JetSort. Machines are vacuumed out, surface cleaned, calibrated, and final bench tested. Your machine will operate and perform very well.
Please note that these are refurbished machines, so minor wear and imperfections may be seen that are entirely cosmetic in nature, and will not effect the operation of the machine. These include, as an example, minor scuffs and scratches, and even minor cracks and crevices on the exterior plastic housing sections, scuff marks and fingerprint impressions on small sections of the the display screen (again cosmetic, and will not effect screen operation, and would be seen when screen is off, and are minimized or not seen when screen is illuminated. Interior / internal sheet metal and chassis parts will most likely show wear that won't clean; metal gets pitted markings even after just two years of use in some cases, or a screw head may be slightly imperfect due to use. Small rust markings may be seen, and when we try to clean them, they sometimes turn black in color. This again is strictly cosmetic and will not effect the operation of the JetSort or JetScan. General discoloration on outside housing due to prior sun exposure, again, cosmetic and does not effect machine performance. These are examples, and not a complete list. Your machine will operate and perform very well. But cosmetically, one could see minor imperfections.
What is the approximate lifespan of your reconditioned JetScans and JetSorts?
We have seen our refurbished and reconditioned JetScans and JetSorts last as long as brand new equipment. Twelve to fifteen years after our detailed refurbishing would not be unusual.
When can we expect our order?
Equipment will ship approximately 10-14 business days from receipt of order and payment. Certain model require more time for preparation. We will work diligently to prepare your order and keep you appropriately updated.
What is the warranty, and what help support do you offer if I need assistance with my machine?
We include our 3 month parts and labor warranty. Customer responsible for shipping costs to and from. We also offer our telephone help line, open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PDT, and are there to answer questions. Questions typically include getting a message you don't recognize, and what buttons do on the machine and what tasks they perform. You will usually reach a live person, but if you should reach our voice mail, you can expect a return phone call within 4-6 hours.
What is your return policy?
Our return policy is 30 calendar days from your receipt of your order. You need to call and obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number prior to shipping return. Shipping must include the same packing materials / specifications as you received the equipment. Equipment must be received by us in same condition as you received it. There is a 25% restocking charge, plus cost of original outbound shipping. Customer is responsible for paying shipping cost when returning item. Returns must be sent "Signature Required"; we are not responsible for lost shipments. Safes 10% additional restocking (35%).
